What is a custom e-shop?

A custom e-shop is an online store built around your products and the way you sell them, not around the limits of a rented platform. Shipping, payments, stock and product pages follow your real business and you pay no monthly rent for the system. It pays off when a rented box starts getting in the way.

What does the e-shop include?

A custom e-shop from devBoys typically includes a catalog with variants, filters and availability, a cart optimized for completing the order, discount codes, basic SEO with automatic redirects of changed URLs, payments (Comgate, Stripe, GoPay) and carriers, integrations with accounting or in-house systems, wholesale price lists and discounts per customer, listings on Heureka, Zboží.cz and Google Shopping and order tracking.

How much does a custom e-shop cost?

A ready-made e-shop on our proven base, with a design made for your brand, has no monthly licence fees and a fully custom build is priced by scope. A Pohoda or Fakturoid integration is included in the custom e-shop, while connections to ERP, a warehouse system or other business software are quoted individually. How long does building an e-shop take?

What does running your own e-shop cost per month?

Nothing to a platform: the e-shop is yours, with no monthly plan, paid add-ons or commission on orders. You pay for hosting with the domain, typically about EUR 40 a year for the e-shops we have launched, and the payment gateway's fees on payments you receive, which you would pay on a rented platform too. Changes and new features are ordered only when you want them, billed hourly at EUR 30 excl. VAT or on a monthly retainer from EUR 290. A rented boxed platform adds a monthly plan with paid add-ons on top.

When is a custom e-shop better than Shoptet or another rented platform?

A rented box is enough for simpler selling with standard features. A custom e-shop makes sense when you need your own ordering process, a more complex catalog, B2B pricing, warehouse and accounting integrations, or want to own the e-shop and grow it without platform limits.

My Shoptet e-shop has outgrown the platform. Should I stay or leave?

If all you miss is one add-on, the move is not worth it yet and we tell you so on the call. Leave when you want your own design, need automation or pay for a plan with add-ons that still fall short. The move: we migrate products, categories, customers and orders and redirect the old addresses so your search rankings are preserved. The old e-shop keeps running until the new one is fully live, so sales never stop. Price from EUR 2 490, deadline in writing in the quote.

What do you build the e-shop on? Do you do WooCommerce?

We build on our own Laravel e-shop base with its own admin. We do not build new e-shops on WooCommerce or WordPress, because stacking plugins from different authors is harder to maintain and harder to extend. Migrating from WooCommerce, Shoptet or Shopify to your own solution is something we do regularly, including data transfer and URL redirects.

Can a custom e-shop handle B2B selling and per-customer pricing?

Yes, B2B is one of the most common reasons to build a custom e-shop. We support individual price lists, discount tiers, customer roles, order approvals and catalogs visible only after login. We connect inventory, accounting or ERP so prices and availability match your systems.
