Laravel project rescue and takeover

Your developer has left. The application is difficult to change. Or an unfinished build needs a new team. We help you understand the existing code, agree the priorities and continue development with a clear plan.

Fyzioklinika

A takeover followed by a successful handover

  • Understanding and stabilising the inherited codebase
  • Updating PHP, Laravel and Filament
  • Introducing automated deployment and tests
  • Documenting and handing over the project

When we can help

Your previous developer has left

You need someone to understand the application and work out what is required to maintain it.

Updates have become difficult

Older dependencies, limited test coverage or a fragile deployment process are slowing down changes.

The project is unfinished

You need a review of what exists and a practical plan for the work still ahead.

You are building an internal team

You need development support now and a documented handover when your team is ready.

Start with the application you have

1

Understand the situation

We discuss what the application does, what is causing problems and what access or documentation is available.

2

Agree the review

Before technical work starts, we agree what to review and how it will be priced. The scope depends on the application and the information available.

3

Plan the next stage

We review the relevant code, dependencies, tests and deployment setup, then discuss the findings and priorities. The next stage may include fixes, upgrades, automated tests or completing specific features.

4

Continue development or prepare a handover

We can support ongoing development or help transfer the application to your own team.

Fyzioklinika

A takeover followed by a successful handover

We took over an existing portal in 2024, stabilised the application and upgraded its PHP, Laravel and Filament stack. We introduced automated deployment and tests. In May 2026, we handed development over to the client's internal team.

More about the project

Questions about taking over a Laravel application

Do we have to rebuild the application?

We cannot decide that from a short description alone. We first review the code and requirements, then explain the options and their trade-offs.

Can you work with limited documentation?

Yes. Tell us what you have. We begin by understanding the application and identifying missing information that affects the work.

Do you work with Filament?

Yes. Our work includes Filament administration panels and upgrades as part of an existing Laravel application.

How much does a takeover cost?

The scope depends on the codebase, available access and work required. We agree the scope and pricing before starting the relevant stage.

Can you provide ongoing development afterwards?

Yes. We can discuss maintenance, further development and integrations once we understand the application and your priorities.

What should we send first?

A short description of the application, the main problems and your deadline. Include the Laravel and PHP versions if available. We can arrange access separately.

Tell us what is blocking your project

Start with a short description. We will discuss whether we can help and what information is needed for the next step.

Tell us what needs fixing or finishing, and any deadline you are working towards. Please do not send passwords or access credentials in this form.
