How much does it cost to build a custom website?
At devBoys a custom website costs EUR 530 to EUR 1 020 excl. VAT depending on the package: Start EUR 530, Business EUR 780, Premium EUR 1 020. Every package comes with its own design, they differ in the number of pages and in what you can change yourself. Domain and hosting are included for the first year, after that you pay for running the site, typically EUR 40 a year.
How long does it take to build a website?
Start and Business are delivered within 14 days, Premium within 20 days. The clock starts once we have your business and service details, logo and photos, and we write the copy from them.
Will I be able to edit the website later?
From the Business package you get a CMS to change services, references, photos and content pages yourself. Premium adds changes to the site structure and navigation. On the Start package we handle edits for you at an hourly rate of EUR 30 excl. VAT.
What does ready for Google and AI mean?
Even Start includes a clear website structure, page titles and descriptions, a sitemap and structured business data. These help search engines read and understand the content. Specific rankings or AI recommendations cannot be guaranteed. Editing content through ChatGPT is a separate feature of the Premium package.
What if I need an e-shop or more features later?
We can grow the site over time. We often add an e-shop, booking system, customer zone or accounting integrations. We handle it individually based on your needs.
I already have a website, but it is outdated. Can you rebuild it?
Yes, that is what a website redesign is for. We keep your content and your search rankings, replace the design and the technology, and add inquiry tracking so you know what the site brings in.
How long will the website last before I have to rebuild it?
The website does not rely on plugins that update every month and one day stop working, but on code we wrote for you and understand. The design and the copy usually age faster than the technology, and those you change in the CMS without us. When it is time for a new look, we do a redesign on top of the existing content, not a website from scratch.
I only need a website for one event or one season. Does that make sense with you?
Yes. For a single event a microsite fits best, one page with the programme and a sign-up form at EUR 530 within 14 days. The Start package is for when you need more pages. You do not have to shut the website down after the event, the domain and hosting run for the first year included, so next year you turn it into a page for the next edition or for your whole business.
Do I need to come and see you, or can it all be done remotely?
The whole website can be done remotely, we work for clients across the Czech Republic. The first consultation is a phone or video call, we send drafts for approval as we go and hand over the finished website with all credentials online. If you are near Plzeň, we are happy to meet in person.
Do I have to pay everything at once, or can I pay in parts?
You pay in two parts. Half of the price as a deposit once the contract is signed, the other half only after you approve the finished website.
What's included and how much will the website cost me per year to run?
The price includes the full website, domain and hosting for the first year, SSL, basic SEO, contact form and Google Analytics. From the second year you pay for running the site, hosting and domain together, typically about EUR 40 a year, invoiced once a year. No monthly fee for the CMS or for maintenance, you order changes only when you want them.
Who owns the website and the domain, and what if we part ways?
You do. The domain is registered in your name or your company's name from the start, once the invoice is paid you get access to everything including the source code. If we part ways, you can move the website to another host or developer at any time with no penalties, we hand over the complete code, the database and all credentials.
Do we sign a contract and will I get an invoice?
Yes, a contract for work covering the scope of the website, the price and the delivery date. We send it to you already signed on our side and you simply reply from your e-mail that you agree, nothing gets printed. We're VAT-registered, so you can expense the invoice.
What if I don't have any copy or photos?
We write the copy from the information you give us, you supply the photos, and we quote a photo shoot or stock photos upfront.
